In case you missed the conversation last year online about a wonderful project that brought together many coaches, entrepreneurs and authors, I just wanted to share the following with you.
The project I am talking about is 'The Age of Conversation' book.
Gavin Heaton and Drew McLellan challenged bloggers around the world to contribute one page — just 400 words — on the topic of “conversation”. The resulting book, 'The Age of Conversation', brought together over 100 of the world’s leading coaches, marketers, and writers.
'The Age of Conversation' was edited by Gavin and Drew and published through Lulu.com, the online self-publishers, and the proceeds from the sale of the book (cost less printing and publisher's commission) go to Variety, the Children's Charity. The book is available in hard cover, soft cover and e-book formats.
Well on the 29 March 2008, there will be an Amazon.com campaign for 'The Age of Conversation' - you can find out more about the campaign here.
This an excellent example of the power of collaboration and makes a great case study when talking to clients about just what can be achieved through clear leadership and bringing together virtual teams to work together to achieve a common vision.
Why not share the case study with your executive coaching clients and see what opportunites it brings to light for them. and even better, why not encourage them to purchase their own copy of 'The Age of Conversation'. The proceeds after all go to a great cause.
